1 Overview & Standalone Architecture

Flow Media Downloader is a specialized Chrome extension engineered to help digital creators, filmmakers, and AI artists save their generated videos and pictures from Google Flow (flow.google.com) with clean sequential numbering and upscale interception.

Unlike cloud scrapers or third-party web converters, Flow Downloader uses a client-only architecture. The extension interacts with the open Google Flow tab in your browser and triggers downloads directly through Chrome's background API. No intermediate servers or proxies ever sit between Google Flow and your machine.

2 Free Access & No Monetization of Data

Flow Media Downloader is free to use. There are no paid tiers, no credits, no token deductions, and no hidden subscriptions.

• We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to data brokers, advertisers, or analytics networks.
• We do not inject ads, sponsored links, or affiliate tracking cookies into your browsing sessions.
• We do not restrict download volume. You can download 1 file or 10,000 files completely free.

3 Optional User Email & Communications

On initial launch, Flow Downloader provides an optional activation screen where users may enter their email address:

• Completely Optional: You may click "Skip" to begin downloading immediately with full functionality. Entering an email is never required.
• Purpose of Collection: If you choose to enter your email, it is used solely by developer Muhammad Asad to provide product support, notify you of major Google Flow compatibility updates, and share workflow tips.
• Opt-Out & Removal: You can change or clear your email at any time directly in the Side Panel by clicking "Change" on the registered bar, or by emailing autoflow.asad@gmail.com with subject "Unsubscribe".

4 Google Flow Canvas & Media Handling

When you use the extension on Google Flow:

• Local DOM Detection: The extension inspects Google Flow's virtual scroller container to identify tile media URLs (video .mp4 URLs and picture .png/.webp URLs) that Google Flow has already generated for you.
• Zero Prompt Harvesting: While tile prompts may be displayed in the Side Panel list to help you identify which clip is which before deleting or downloading, prompts are never transmitted externally.
• No Account Access: The extension does NOT read, store, or intercept your Google login credentials, cookies, payment methods, or personal Google profile info.

5 Browser Storage (chrome.storage.local)

Flow Downloader saves minimal configuration data locally on your computer using Chrome's secure storage API:

• fd_settings: Your preferred download options (e.g. 4K upscale, folder name, number padding, prefix).
• fd_saved_keys: Unique tile hashes of items you have downloaded, so the "Save Missing Files" and "Skip files already downloaded" features know which items are already on your hard drive.
• fd_activation: Your optional email address if entered.

All stored data lives exclusively on your local machine and is wiped automatically if you uninstall the extension or clear your Chrome browsing data.

6 Manifest V3 Permissions Justification

In adherence to Google Chrome's strict Manifest V3 Least-Privilege guidelines, each requested permission serves an explicit, user-facing function:

7 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA)

For users residing in California and the United States:

• We Do Not Sell or Share Personal Information: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Flow Media Downloader does not sell or share any consumer personal information.
• Right to Know & Delete: You can delete all locally held information at any time by clearing extension storage in Chrome settings (chrome://settings/content/all) or removing the extension.

8 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

For users in the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA):

• Data Controller & Processor: All processing of media files occurs entirely on your device (User-as-Processor).
• Lawful Basis: Any optional contact data provided is processed solely under your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) to receive technical support and product updates.
• Zero Profiling: We do not conduct automated profiling or tracking across websites.

9 Children's Online Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Flow Media Downloader complies fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. The extension is intended for content creators and AI artists who meet Google's age requirements for Google Flow.

10 Security Practices & Updates

We implement industry-standard security practices:

• No Inline Code Execution: All scripts are packaged locally within the extension; no remote code execution (eval, new Function, external script tags) is used, satisfying Chrome Web Store security criteria.
• HTTPS Transport: All links and external communications use secure TLS/HTTPS encryption.
• Proactive Updates: If Google Flow alters its DOM structure or UI selectors, we release updates promptly to ensure your downloads remain uninterrupted.
